I work at University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I am a Clinical Associate Faculty, Attending Psychologist in Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation. Previously, I worked in a private rural mental health practice. Previously I have taught in undergraduate and graduate college programs, and worked in medical rehabilitation hospitals. I got my Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, my internship at the VA Medical Center in Martinez, California (also Oakland) and my postdoctoral fellowship at University of Michigan Medical Center. I am married to another psychologist who directs a graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis. He has two adult children and we also have two dogs and two cats who help keep us sane and happy. In my spare time I play keyboard and sing back up harmony in a local band.
